St. Albans Striders organise a 12 hour endurance race each autumn around Heartwood Forrest. The goal is to achieve as many laps of the 4 mile loop as possible as a solo runner, or in a team of two, four or eight people.
This year I was fortunate enough to join the previous winning 8 man team, and we held onto our title with another winning performance this year achieving 26 laps in 12 hours.
I completed 3 laps for my team alongside massaging for the full 12 hours for all the runners.
The event had a geat atmosphere, almost like a 'running festival', and I couldn't recomend it enough for any endurance runners. I hope to be next year to retain our title!
